Privacy Policy
Effective 7 July 2026
What MonoBreak collects
- Account data. If you sign in, we store your email address. Sign-in is passwordless; we never store a password.
- Contributions. Links you submit and votes you cast are stored with your account so the community rankings work.
- Extension data. When you view an Amazon product page with the MonoBreak extension installed, it sends us that product's ID (ASIN), title, and brand name — nothing else. This report is anonymous: it is not linked to your account and carries no identifier of you or your device. It is used only to look up and discover alternatives for that product.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived request logs, including IP addresses, for operations and abuse prevention. We apply per-IP rate limits in memory; those counters are never written to a database.
What we don't do
- No analytics or advertising trackers, on the site or in the extension.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data.
- No browsing history collection — the extension only reacts to Amazon product pages, and only sends the product facts listed above.
- No marketing email. The only email we send is the sign-in link you request.
Service providers
We run on Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), and Resend (sign-in email delivery). Our automated brand-discovery pipeline queries Wikidata, the Brave Search API, and Anthropic's Claude API — these requests contain brand and product names, never personal data.
Retention & deletion
Account data and contributions are kept until you ask us to delete them. Email info@monobreak.com from your account address and we will delete your account and associated votes; submitted links may be retained in anonymized form (without your account reference) since they are community content.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at the address above and we will honor them.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and adjust the effective date above.
